Sippy cups? No way.

I've been working with Eliot and sippy cups for a long time.  He was OK with them, but would never finish his drink, maybe half if we were lucky.  For bottles, though, he'd drink the whole thing at once.  The doctor mentioned that we should transition him around a year, but I wasn't too worried because I drank from a bottle for two years.

As time went on, Eliot refused sippy cups more and more when he learned how to make them leak.  Even his leak-free ones would make a mess because he bit a hole in the mouth piece.  Seriously?

Eliot really enjoys drinking from our cups and also with straw.  Simple enough.  We'd get a sippy cup with a straw!  The one we picked out was kind of hard since it was leak-free and Eliot was too impatient.  Would there be no solution?  Would he drink from a bottle for the rest of his life?

I just gave up on trying to keep the drops of milk and juice and water away, and we picked up a pack of the cheapest cups with straws we could find.  And guess what?
He drank the whole thing and didn't spill a drop.
